Kaspersky Tips For Small-Scale Business To Avoid Online Fraud
JAKARTA - Small-scale business, which represents more than 90% of the entire business population, is becoming a green field for online scammers out there. As opposed to focusing on individuals, B2B sector fraudsters adopt a more individualized approach in creating efficient social engineering schemes.
“Informing small and medium businesses about cyber risks is a very real problem, which is being tackled by experts such as GEIGER in Europe," said Kirill Kulakov, Technical Consultant at Kaspersky Fraud Prevention in a statement received in Jakarta.
Kaspersky mentions at least four of the most common social engineering used by perpetrators to deceive SMEs, namely imitation of trusted suppliers, fake events, extortion through bad reviews, and also spear phishing.
