YouTube Music Tests Live Scrolling Lyrics Feature

JAKARTA - Google is reportedly testing a new feature for live scrolling lyrics on YouTube Music, accompanied by a revamped Casting UI. Interestingly, this feature has already been introduced to some users in beta.

According to Reddit user u/PmMeYourChromebook, he can see the song title, artist, and album artwork, which were previously placed in the center of the screen, are now on the right with the text left aligned.

Meanwhile, in the empty part in the middle, live scrolling lyrics are now placed which scroll in white.

The background of these YouTube Music live scrolling lyrics remains blurred from the album cover. After the song ends and the live scrolling lyrics is complete, the user will see a list of credited songwriters.

Users also noticed changes to the old, centralized interface reappear if no lyrics were available. The album artwork replaces YouTube Music's live scrolling lyrics.

The live scrolling lyrics feature is not yet widely available, at this time Google is only testing it on a small number of users.
