If There Were No West Papua Attorney General's Office, IDR 115.39 Of State Money Would Evaporate
JAKARTA - The West Papua High Prosecutor's Office managed to save IDR 115.39 billion from corruption and civil crimes that were handled this year.
"A total of IDR 115.39 billion in state finances were rescued, namely corruption crimes amounting to IDR 965 million and civil matters amounting to IDR 114.43 billion", said Head of the West Papua Prosecutor's Office Juniman Hutagaol in a year-end press conference at the West Papua Attorney's Office, in Manokwari, Thursday.
Juniman said that in the special criminal field, the settlement of cases of corruption and money laundering (TPPU) throughout 2022 has run quite optimally from the investigation stage to the execution of convicts at the five district attorney's offices ranks.
"Throughout 2022 the special criminal field at the investigation stage completed five of 20 cases (25 percent), pre-prosecution completed 12 of 18 cases (66 percent), prosecution completed nine of 14 cases (64.2 percent), and at the execution stage the convicted person completed 28 out of 34 cases (82 percent)", said the West Papua Prosecutor's Office.

Furthermore, in the field of civil and state administration (TUN) throughout 2022, the West Papua Attorney General's Office will resolve 18 cases consisting of six civil cases, and 12 legal services through legal service posts (PPH).
"Six civil cases, including one litigation civil, one non-litigation civil, two legal considerations, two litigation, and non-litigation legal assistance. Meanwhile, 12 cases of legal services are in the form of legal consultations and community services", said Juniman Hutagaol.
The West Papua Prosecutor's Office also presented data on saving state finances through civil channels worth IDR 114.43 billion in 2022 resulting from the confiscation of assets by the Attorney General's Office and three prosecutorial ranks.
"A total of IDR 114.43 billion is the value of assets that were saved, namely the West Papua Attorney General's Office IDR 102.70 billion, the Fakfak Prosecutors Office IDR 11.5 billion, and the Kaimana Prosecutor's Office IDR 194.7 million", said West Papua Prosecutor Juniman Hutagaol again.
