Able To Supervise BLBI Case, Ferdy Sambo And Kanjuruhan, Mahfud MD Supported To Run For President In The 2024 Election

SERANG - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD received support as a presidential candidate (capres) or vice presidential candidate (cawapres) at the VIIth Indonesian people's meeting (Musra).

Musra was held by a combination of volunteers Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and was attended by thousands of various volunteers, students, and the community.

"Support for Mahfud MD as a presidential or vice presidential candidate in 2024 will come from students, youth, sympathizers, and admirers," claimed Hanif Maulana from student representatives who spoke at the VIIth Indonesian Musra which took place in Serang City, Banten Province, Antara, Sunday, November 20.

Mahfud MD's support for becoming the number one person in Indonesia, because when he served as Minister of Defence, Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK), the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs, Mahfud had spawned various policies and broke stalemate legal issues.

During Mr. Jokowi's administration, Mahfud MD also made a breakthrough, overseeing the completion of cases starting from BLBI, Sambo, Kanjuruhan, corruption cases, and other legal cases.

"We certainly really support Mahfud MD as a presidential or vice presidential candidate," said the student at Untirta, Banten.

He said that along with other students and youth groups, he had come to convey their wishes for a national leadership figure in the future.

Hanif said that Indonesia needs a warrior who breaks the legal impasse and upholds justice like Mahfud MD.

"We believe that indiscriminate enforcement of the rule of law will work if Mahfud MD serves as president or deputy," he said.

Chairman of the Indonesian Musra Steering Committee Andi Gani Nena Wea said that in this Musra the name Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD was on the radar for the presidential and vice presidential candidates.

At the Musra in Makassar, Mahfud's name was included in the top five for both the presidential and vice presidential candidates.

"I see that there are also many student sympathizers and youth admirers of Mr. Mahfud. Hopefully, the results will be the same as Makassar," he said.

He mentioned one of the needs and desires of the people, is the emergence of a leader who is concerned with upholding justice and law.

So far, Mahfud MD's track record is unquestionable in carrying out his duties very professionally. The peak of the Musra will be attended by President Jokowi in January 2023 and there are five names of recommendations for presidential and vice presidential candidates that will be submitted to Jokowi.
