More Sophisticated, KPK Calls Corruption Practices No Longer Using Cell Phones
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the modus operandi of corruption continues to grow. Many corruptors no longer use cell phones or cellphones to communicate to carry out their actions.
"If you were initially caught for using a cellphone, then now there is no need to use a cellphone," said KPK Deputy Chair Nurul Ghufron in a written statement, Monday, October 31.
It did not specify how the corruptors carried out their actions. However, Ghufron ensured that the perpetrators continued to find new ways.
In fact, Ghufron said that now corruptors no longer use money transfers to receive or give. This step is considered dangerous because it is easy to detect.
"If you use a transfer, the transfer is tracked, then there is no transfer," he said.

Ghufron said that various ways will continue to be found by corruptors to facilitate their actions. So, he asked all parties to help the KPK work.
Moreover, Indonesia will soon hold a general election (election). He asked for the practice of money politics so that black campaigns no longer occur.
Ghufron said all parties must take part in preventing fraud ahead of the election. "In the view of the KPK, the political process with integrity will only be achieved when the political parties, election organizers, and voters have integrity," he said.
"These three elements are absolute, if one of them does not have integrity, it will affect others so that they do not have integrity," continued Ghufron.
Don't let the upcoming 2024 General Election just become a place to find winners through dirty methods. "If it's like this, what is fighting is not a competition of vision-mission and competence but the power of money," said Ghufron.
"Then, the political process shifted, from looking for a leader with integrity, to looking for someone who won," he concluded.
