The Action of the Indonesian Navy Fails to Smuggle Baby Lobster Worth Billions of Rupiah
JAKARTA - Indonesian Navy soldiers who are members of the Satgaspam Juanda Airport Surabaya managed to thwart the smuggling of 26,432 Baby Lobster seeds with an estimated value of Rp1.3 billion via Terminal 2 for Juanda International Airport departure, Sidoarjo, last Tuesday, October 18.
The disclosure of this smuggling effort started from intelligence information that there would be a Baby Lobster delivery departing from Surabaya for Singapore on Monday, October 17, 2022, via Terminal 2, Juanda Airport International departure.
From the information obtained, the perpetrator with the initials RS became a passenger on an airline to Surabaya - Singapore with luggage in the form of a large black suitcase allegedly containing Baby Lobster seeds to be smuggled abroad.
The Juanda Airport Security Task Force (Satgaspam) together with Customs, Immigration Class I Special TPI Surabaya, BKIPM Surabaya I, PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero), and the Surabaya Regional III Airport Authority then work together to divide the blocking operation sector and plan the arrest process in the departure area of Juanda International Airport.
The Commander of Juanda Air Force Base, Marine Colonel (F) Heru Prastyo said that the disclosure of the Baby Lobster Seed smuggling effort was the result of good cooperation and a form of synergy between the Juanda Airport community in a team consisting of Juanda Airport, Juanda Customs, and Excise, Class I Immigration Special TPI Surabaya, BKIPM Surabaya I, PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero), and the Surabaya Regional III Airport Authority.
"This is a strong warning for those who still want to try to violate the law in the Juanda International Airport area," said Danlanudal Juanda in his statement, Friday, October 21.
The success in uncovering the smuggling of Baby Lobsters at Juanda International Airport is in line with the instructions of KSAL Admiral TNI Yudo Margono so that field commanders do not hesitate to make decisions within the scope of their authority while still complying with applicable laws and regulations.

From the arrests to the perpetrators of the hospital, evidence was found of a large suitcase containing Lobster Seeds without being accompanied by official documents.
The results of the inspection in the suitcase contained 24 bags containing 22,752 Sand Lobster Seeds (BBL) and five bags containing 3,680 Pearl BBL, for a total of 29 bags containing 26,432 Baby Lobsters.
The evidence was then handed over to BKIPM Surabaya I and released into the open sea in Madura Waters. Furthermore, the suspect was processed by law, related to the violation of the Customs Law Article 102 A of Law Number 17 of 2006 concerning Amendments to Law Number 10 of 1995 concerning Customs.
