Flying To Bangka Belitung, Jokowi Will Inaugurate Tin Smelter And Sadai Port

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) left for the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands (Babel) today, Thursday, October 20. The head of state is scheduled to review the construction of the tin smelter until he visits Sadai Port.

Based on information from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, Jokowi and a limited group headed to Depati Amir Airport, Central Bangka Regency from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, at around 7.15 WIB.

Arriving at Depati Amir Airport, Jokowi will board the TNI AU Super Puma helicopter to West Bangka Regency to inspect the construction of the tin smelter built by PT Timah Tbk.

The construction of the tin smelter with Ausmelt's Top Submerged Lance (TSL) technology is known to have started in 2019, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

After that, Jokowi will head to Muntok Market to directly hand over working capital assistance (BMK) and direct cash assistance (BLT) for the participants of the Family Hope Program (PKH).

The limited group of heads of state then headed to the Tanjung Laut Fisherman's Village to inspect the waste management station. Jokowi is scheduled to have a dialogue with fishermen before continuing the review agenda at Tanjung Snake Port.

After carrying out activities in West Bangka, Jokowi will head to the helipad of the Junjung Besaoh Stadium to ride the Super Puma TNI AU to continue the agenda in South Bangka Regency.

In South Bangka, the head of state will hand over a number of social assistance at the Toboali Market before closing the series of activities by reviewing Sadai Port. Sadai Port was discussed as a location for shipping services for Roro ships or cargo ships.

After the activities at Sadai Port, the President's entourage will immediately depart for Jakarta.

Also accompanying the President on the visit to Bangka Belitung were the Cabinet Secretary, Pramono Anung, the President's Military Secretary, Rear Admiral TNI Hersan, the Paspampres Commander, TNI Marshal Wahyu H Sudjatmiko, and the Deputy for Administration and Management of the Presidential Secretariat Palace, Rika Kiswardani.
