Put In Black Plastic Bag, The Customer's Money In Baubau Is Still Stolen By Thieves

SULTRA - Baubau City Police arrested two thieves of bank customers' money. The thief's modus operandi followed the victim after taking money from a bank in Baubau, Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra).

The Baubau Police Chief AKBP Erwin Pratomo revealed that the incident began when the two perpetrators, namely H bin DGN (43) and LR alias RH bin RS (49) rode on a motorbike around Baubau City to look for targets on September 28, 2022, at around 10:00 WITA.

"Because they haven't found a target, the two perpetrators chose to park in front of the Southeast Sulawesi Bank to monitor, and at 13.00 WITA the two perpetrators saw the victim leaving the bank while holding a black plastic bag containing cash," said AKBP Erwin when delivering a press statement, Thursday, October 6th.

He continued, the victim FM, who is a resident of the BTN Beringin housing estate, Watubangga Village, Baruga District, Kendari City, along with four other people got into the Avanza Veloz he was driving.

The two perpetrators then followed the victim to a restaurant in Wale Village, Wolio District, to Lippo Plaza Buton.

"After the victim and her partner walked to Lippo Plaza Buton and parked their vehicle in the parking lot, the perpetrator no longer saw the victim holding a plastic bag containing money when getting out of the car, so the two perpetrators confirmed that the money was in the car," he said.

Currently, the two perpetrators LR alias RH, residents of Wulangga Jaya Village, Tiworo District, West Muna Islands Regency, and H, residents of Tanjung Bayang Street, Tanjung Merdeka Village, Tamalate District, Makassar City, have been secured at the Baubau Police Headquarters for further investigation.

The evidence that was secured was one unit of a four-wheeled Toyota Avanza Veloz vehicle with Police number DT 1852 HF, a black Yamaha Fino motorcycle with Police number DT 6406 used by the perpetrator, and a screwdriver with a length of 20 cm.
