New Rules For Commander Of Indonesian Armed Forces: Male Cadet Candidates May Be 160 Cm Tall, Female 155 Cm
JAKARTA - The TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa said the revision of the TNI Commander Regulation Number 31 of 2020 was carried out with the aim of accommodating the general condition of Indonesian teenagers.
"The change is actually more accommodating," said General Andika, monitored from his YouTube channel, Tuesday, September 8.
In the 2020 TNI Commander Regulation, the height for male cadet candidates is 163 centimeters (cm) and 157 cm for female cadet candidates.
With the revision of the TNI Commander Regulation regarding the acceptance of prospective cadets, the height for male cadets has decreased to 160 cm and 155 cm for female cadet candidates.
In addition, in the rules for accepting new cadet candidates, the age limit was also updated by General Andika.
Previously each candidate had to be at least 18 years old, but now prospective cadets and cadets aged 17 years and 8 months are allowed to register.
On that occasion, the former Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) congratulated the best sons and daughters who were selected to be the 2022 Military Academy cadets and cadets.
"You should be proud because you are a candidate for the successor to the leadership milestone in the TNI," said the former Commander of the Army Strategic Command (Pangkostrad).

In line with that, Assistant Personnel (Aspers) to the TNI Commander Marshal Muda TNI Kusworo said the process of accepting candidates for cadets and cadets from the TNI Academy was carried out since early 2022 with a total of 22,553 registrants.
"TNI General Andika Perkasa made a breakthrough in changing the admission regulations," he said.
