The Urge For Lukas Enembe To Fulfill KPK Summon Is Getting Stronger, This Time It Comes From Pastor Of Papua Kingmi Church

PAPUA - The General Secretary (Sekum) of the Kingmi Papua Church, Reverend Yonas Wenda, asked the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, to follow the legal process currently being handled by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

"(Papua) Governor Lukas Enembe is advised to follow the legal process at the KPK after being named a suspect," said Reverend Yonas in Jayapura, Papua, Antara, Sunday, September 25.

Regarding the demonstration to defend Enembe which was held on September 20, he stated that the action was an activity that did not deserve to be shown because it showed a lack of understanding of the legal process and provocation for unilateral interests.

"As a religious leader, I expect (Papua) Governor Lukas Enembe to follow the legal process," he said.

Previously, the spokesman for the Corruption Eradication Commission, Ali Fikri, in his written statement stated that Enembe's absence, who was already a suspect, was due to his health, which had to be accompanied by official documents from medical personnel so that further analysis could be carried out.

Previously, the KPK had several times provided opportunities and provided health facilities for witnesses and suspects in other cases because they understood that health is a basic right of every human being.

As for his desire to seek treatment in Singapore, KPK must ensure this by checking Enembe's health first when he is in Jakarta.

"The KPK certainly hopes that the party in question will fulfill the summons on September 26 at the KPK's Merah Putih building," he said.
