Russia launches airstrike: Four platoons of US-made HIMARS and US-made Ukrainians destroyed, 150 soldiers killed
JAKARTA - Russia said its airstrikes destroyed three M777 platoons, one HIMARS platoon, and 150 opposing troops in Ukraine
Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov said Russian troops carrying out special military operations in Ukraine destroyed three platoons of US-made M777 howitzers and a platoon of the HIMARS dual launch rocket system on Thursday.
"Attacks by operational and military tactical aviation, rocket troops, and artillery hit the command post of the 1st Ukrainian Tank Brigade Battalion near the village of Vesyoloye, Donetsk People's Republic, three platoons of US-made M777 howitzer artillery shells in the Velykaya Kostromka area, Dnipropetrovsk Region; Dneprovskoye and Yavkino in the Region Nikolayev; and a platoon of the HIMARS dual rocket launch system near the settlement of Bereznegovatoye in the Mykolaiv Region", he explained, reported by TASS on September 23.
According to the spokesman, the troops and military equipment of the units of the 14th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Gusinka residential area of the Kharkiv region, the 46th Mobile Brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces in Belogorka of the Kherson Region, as well as 72 artillery units, troops and equipment Ukrainian armed forces in 138 areas have also been attacked.
In addition, four ammunition and weapons depots of the Ukrainian armed forces were destroyed in the residential areas of Monachinovka in the Kharkiv Region and Poltavka and Olgovskoye in the Zaporizhzhia Region.
Still, in Zaporizhzhia, two units of the Ukrainian army and a foreign legion lost up to 150 of their personnel, as a result of the attack of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

"Ukrainian armed forces suffered losses of as many as 150 militants and 19 military equipment", he continued.
Separately, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the status of Russia's special military operations remained unchanged after the partial mobilization was announced.
