COVID-19 Update as of September 22: 2,162 New Cases, Active Cases Drop to 1,907
JAKARTA - The Task Force for Handling COVID-19 released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 68,931 specimens were examined with the results of 2,162 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,417,490 people and active cases have fallen by 1,907 to 23,503 cases", said the data from the COVID-19 Task Force, Thursday, September 22.
Today's recovered cases have increased by 4,051 people, bringing the total to 6,231,970 recovered. Then, the number of positive confirmed cases who died increased by 18 cases and the total was 157,966 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 888 cases and a total of 1,420,440 cases. Followed by West Java with 379 new cases with a total of 1,177,522 cases. East Java with 257 new cases and a total of 603,736 cases. Banten with 201 new cases and a total of 335,977 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 813 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 800 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 233 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 136 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 108,220,629.
"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 7.80 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 4,924 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 204,404,924 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 171,018,809 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 62,968,993 and the fourth dose was 574,098. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
