14 Abandoned Bodies in Bali Cremated at Prof Ngoerah Hospital, There are 3 Foreigners and Babies

DENPASAR - Prof IGNG Ngoerah Central General Hospital (RSUP) formerly known as Sanglah Hospital, Denpasar, Bali, cremated 14 abandoned bodies.

The fourteen bodies consisted of six adults and eight children or infants. The body was cremated at the Dharma Kerti Crematorium Dalem Kerobokan, Jalan Kerobokan Raya, Badung Regency, Bali.

"This is a form of social service from (RSUP Prof IGNG Ngoerah), which carries out cremations regularly every year in collaboration with the Social Service from the Province of Bali", said Director of Operational and General Planning of Prof Ngoerah Ni Luh Dharma Kerti Natih Hospital, Thursday, September 22.

There are three bodies of foreign nationals from New Zealand, Spain, and Australia. This abandoned body has been stored at Prof Ngoerah Hospital for the longest time from March 2021-July 2022.

"The bodies of three foreigners, one from New Zealand were sent from the Ubud Police, then from Spain was sent from the Kuta Police and another Australian was sent from the Klungkung Hospital. The oldest, the body from March 2021 and the latest in July 2022", said Kerti Natih.

The total cost of storing and treating all bodies at Prof IGNG Ngoerah Hospital which was cremated reached IDR 931,502,000. The cost of this cremation activity is assisted by the Bali Provincial Government through the Social Service

"Of course, it is very big (the cost) because the bodies are stored for investigation from the police. Before the release of them, we did not dare to carry out this cremation.
