PUPR Minister Basuki Targets Bocimi Toll Road Connected To Sukabumi By 2024
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono targets the Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi (Bocimi) Toll Road to be connected to West Sukabumi by 2024.
Basuki said that after Section 2 finished construction and operated, Section III of the 13.70 km Cibadak-Sukabumi West segment would be continued, so that it could provide a solution to the congestion problem towards Sukabumi and even to Pelabuhan Ratu on the South Coast of Java.
"Hopefully all of these segments will be completed by 2024 to at least West Sukabumi, meaning that they have passed the point of severe congestion at Cibadak Market," he said in a statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday, September 22.
Bogor' Ciawi-Sukabumi (Bocimi) Toll Road construction progress. Currently working on Section 2 of the 11.9 km Cigombong - Cibadak section with a construction progress of 86 percent and is targeted for completion in December 2022.
The Ciawi - Sukabumi Toll Road has 4 sections with a total length of 54 km with the progress of Section 1 Ciawi - Cigombong along 15.35 km and has been operating since last December 2018.
Then there are two other sections, namely Section 3 Cibadak - West Sukabumi along 13.70 km with a land acquisition progress of 42.07 percent, and Section 4 of the West Sukabumi - East Sukabumi section along 13.05 km with a land acquisition progress of 9.59 percent.

The Cigombong - Cibadak Toll Road will be connected to the Bogor area which is connected to the Jagorawi toll road, thereby reducing travel time from Jakarta to Sukabumi which was previously 4 to 5 hours via arterial road to 2 hours faster.
This toll road is expected to be an alternative link to tourism areas around the Lido area, Sukabumi, Pelabuhan Ratu, Ujung Genteng to the Ciletuh Geopark.
In addition, this toll road will further facilitate community economic connectivity from the industrial, goods and service sectors because it will be connected to the southern part of West Java, such as Bogor and Ciawi.
