COVID-19 Update as of September 13: 2,896 New Cases, 31,571 Active Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 79,939 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 2,896 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,397,236 and active cases have fallen by 741 to 31,571 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, September 13.
Today's recovered cases increased by 3,617 people, bringing the total to 6,207,858 people recovered. Then, the number of positive confirmed cases who died increased by 20 cases and the total was 157,807 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 1,061 cases and a total of 1,411,948 cases. Followed by West Java with 590 new cases with a total of 1,173,846 cases. Banten with 339 new cases and a total of 334,012 cases. East Java with 322 new cases and a total of 601,686 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an increase of 1,417 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 1,073 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 261 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 256 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 107,642,398.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 9.57 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 4,817 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 203,435,374 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 171,111,977 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 61,135,788 people and the fourth dose was 417,323 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
