616 Electric Cars Are Prepared At The G20 Bali Summit From Genesis G80, Hyundai Ioniq To Wuling Air EV

BADUNG - A total of 616 electric cars were prepared for the G20 Summit in Bali. The readiness of the infrastructure to support electric cars for the G20 has also been running.

"There are 616 electric cars that have been prepared. So the infrastructure for the Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) in the context of the G20 has been prepared, there are 616 electric vehicles," said PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo at the opening of the SPKLU in front of The Apurva Kempinski Hotel, in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali, Tuesday, August 30.

The details are 123 Genesis G80 electric cars for VVIP and 246 Hyundai Ioniq 5 for delegates, 124 Hyundai Ioniq units for lead car, and Lexus UX300e electric car for security of 123 units.

Meanwhile, there are 290 Patwal electric motor vehicles and 300 Wuling Air EV electric cars.

"Then there are 300 additional electric vehicles for operation, then there are 270 electric motors for security," added Darmawan.

In addition, his party also prepared 66 SPKLU fast charging and 200 home chargers in all areas where the G20 Summit was held.

"Also plus (fast charging) there are about 24 additions from Toyota. Then we also prepare 200 home chargers. In this case, we have carried out a simulation that an electric car once charged has a distance of about 350 kilometers and there are 500 kilometers," he explained.

Each vehicle takes 15 minutes to charge. Darmawan said the preparation of 66 fast charging is almost complete and is targeted to be completed in four weeks.

"The simulation is also almost complete and preparations are almost complete for the G20 Summit," said Darmawan.
