BADUNG - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin together with a number of ministers inspected the Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) in front of The Apurva Kempinski Hotel, in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali.
The vice president said the SPKLU was built in preparation for the G20 Summit on the Island of the Gods. With the SPKLU, it only takes 15 minutes to charge an electric vehicle.
“It only filled up in 15 minutes, it was 100 percent filled and very fast. The charging is very fast, (this is) for the G20 Summit later, especially for electric cars provided at the G20 Summit in Bali," said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Tuesday, August 30.
This SPKLU will continue to operate even after the end of the G20 Summit. According to Ma'ruf, the preparation of supporting electric vehicles at the G20 Summit was the beginning of the era of electric vehicles in Indonesia.
"The G20 Summit, apart from international meetings, also starts a new life in the context of electric cars and motorized vehicles," he continued.
"I think this electric car is also one of the steps to overcome the problem of fuel. I think it is very ready, both from the national committee and the Governor who supports and all of them," continued the vice president.
