Send Letter To Interpol, KPK Requests Red Notice For Central Mamberamo Regent
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to search for the Regent of Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak who fled to Papua New Guinea. There are several steps taken, including requesting the issuance of a red notice.
Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, said the request for the issuance of the red notice had been submitted to the Interpol NCB through the National Police. The anti-corruption commission has sent a letter.
"That's right, the KPK has sent a letter to the National Police Chief up. Secretary of the Indonesian Interpol NCB", Ali told reporters, Tuesday, August 2.
The request for the red notice, said Ali, was indeed carried out as a form of synergy between law enforcers. It is hoped that Ricky, who is now running away, can be caught soon.
"This request for assistance is a form of synergy between law enforcers in law enforcement of criminal acts of corruption", he said.
As previously reported, the KPK continues to investigate allegations of bribery and gratification in Central Mamberamo, Papua. Several witnesses have been called and searches have been carried out.
However, in the middle of the process, Ricky, who had not been announced as a suspect, ran away. He is said to have fled to Papua New Guinea by way of a rat with the help of several parties, including an aide and two members of the Indonesia Army (TNI).
Regarding the assistance provided by the TNI, the KPK said it had sent a letter to the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) to coordinate to examine of the two members. Moreover, based on information circulating, a TNI soldier holds the rank of Dandim.
