Officially Trained By Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto In Como, Cesc Fabregas: I Want To Build A Long-term Future Here

JAKARTA - Senior midfielder from Spain, Cesc Fabregas, officially joined the Italian League second division club, Como 1907. At this club, Fabregas will be coached by the legend of the Indonesian national team, Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto, who is an assistant coach.

Fabregas admitted that he accepted the proposal from Como after speaking with club officials such as Mirwan Suwarso and Dennis Wise. He was interested in Como's future targets.

The former Arsenal and Barcelona player admitted that he was honored to be joining a club he called an extraordinary team.

"This is why I want to build a long-term future here not only on the pitch, but also off the pitch," Fabregas told the club's official website, as reported by Antara.

"I believed in vision from the first moment and I have decided to invest personally to be part of the bigger picture," he continued.

Fabregas also said that he was looking forward to playing in front of the Como fans. "The tradition, infrastructure, and desire of the owners to take this club to the next level are very inspiring," he said.

The 35-year-old previously played for French club AS Monaco. However, he was mostly absent due to struggling with injuries. Noted, he only played five times with a total of 117 minutes of play.

In terms of experience, this one player clearly does not need to be doubted. He has defended European giants such as Arsenal, Barcelona, and Chelsea. He was also part of the Spanish national team which won two European Cups and one World Cup.
