Jang Gyuri Leave Fromis_9, Who Just Performed A Comeback
JAKARTA - Jang Gyuri was declared out of the group fromis_9 a few weeks after the K-pop group released a new album. This statement was conveyed by PLEDIS Entertainment, which houses their group.
Today, Thursday, July 28, PLEDIS explained that Jang Gyuri did not continue the contract with the agency.
"Fromis_9 will become an eight-person group starting this August and will meet fans through various activities in Japan and other activities scheduled for the second half of this year," PLEDIS Entertainment said via social media.
Fromis_9's 5th EP from our Memento Box will be Jang Gyuri's final promotions as she ends her status as a member of fromis_9. He completed the contract on July 31 for a new trip," they explained.
PLEDIS Entertainment previously explained that fromis_9 from the agency Off The Record was transferred to PLEDIS in 2021. At that time, the other eight members signed new contracts.

This news surprised fans considering that fromis_9 has just released a mini album with the track Stay This Way.
Jang Gyuri debuted as a member of fromis_9 in 2018 after winning the Idol School competition. He also briefly appeared in Produce 48.
Gyuri has also starred in several dramas, including Dating Class, It's Okay to Not Be Okay, and most recently Cheer Up.
