Police Arrest Man From Banten Who Rape Woman With Disabilities In Probinggo
SURABAYA - Women with disabilities in Probinggo City, East Java, became victims of rape. The woman with the initials F, 31, who was mute, was raped by her own neighbor in Mayangan District, Probolinggo City.
"The perpetrator is HS, 51, victim F's neighbor", said Probolinggo City Police Chief, AKBP Wadi Sa'bani, in a written statement, Wednesday, July 27.
The suspect HS actually came from Grogol Indah Village, Anyar District, Serang Regency, Banten. However, HS resides in Probolinggo City, which is a neighbor of victim F.
HS was arrested because the perpetrator was suspected of having physically abused victim F. The incident occurred on June 24, 2022, and the next day HS was reported by the victim's family to the police.
Based on the results of the examination of the victim's mother, continued Wadi, the victim's mother was often told by neighbors that the victim was often ordered to enter the house of the perpetrator, suspect HS.
"After the victim was asked by her mother, victim F explained that HS had sex (using sign language)", he said.
As for the mode, continued Wadi, HS invited victim F to enter his house by luring money.
"After finishing (obsessing), the victim was given IDR 5,000", he said.

The Probolinggo City Police Team arrested HS and named the perpetrator as a suspect. This step was taken after the police conducted a Visum Et Repertum, examined the victim, and witnesses asked for the help of an expert witness for interpretation, a forensic psychologist, and confiscated evidence.
"That there has been a match in the information and instructions from the evidence that was successfully confiscated and has obtained at least two pieces of evidence. The suspect is charged with Article 6 letter b in conjunction with Article 15 letter h of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning No Crime of Sexual Violence or Article 285 of the Criminal Code, with a threat of 12 years in prison plus 1/3 if it is done against a victim with a disability", said AKBP Wadi.
