Medina Is Hotter Than Mecca, Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims Are Reminded To Wear Mats So That The Soles Of Their Feet Don't Scald
JAKARTA - Head of the Makkah Working Area (Daker) Mukhammad Khanif reminded Indonesian pilgrims who are still in the Holy Land not to lose their footwear. He warned that the weather in Medina is hotter, so that the feet are prone to blisters.
"Keep your footwear well when you go to the Prophet's Mosque and don't miss it. Footwear is very important so that the congregation's feet do not get hot or even blister," said Khanif when releasing pilgrims in Makkah, Thursday, July 21.
The second batch of pilgrims who departed from Mecca to Medina were also asked to get used to using protective equipment. He gave an example of a useful umbrella or hat so as not to be exposed to direct sunlight.
In addition, based on Antara's report, Khanif also reminded the congregation to drink more, not waiting to be thirsty to drink.
A total of five groups of pilgrims or the second batch of 1,932 people will depart from Makkah to Madinah on Thursday, July 21.
Starting with the departure of the Jakarta - Pondok Gede Embarkation Group 24 congregation (JKG 24) departing at 07.00 a.m. local time, followed by 393 people from North Sumatra who joined in Group 8 (MES 8) moving from 09.20 a.m. Saudi Arabia Time (WAS).
