Jokowi Hopes For The Community To Set Pregnancy Distance

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) appealed to the public to regulate and pay attention to the distance between mothers' differences, to ensure that children's nutrition is fulfilled, and to prevent stunting or stunting.

"It is regulated so that mothers have recovered, their nutrition is good, and they may have children again", said the President during a dialogue with participants at the peak of the commemoration of the 29th National Family Day, in Medan, North Sumatra, which was witnessed online in Jakarta, Thursday, July 7.

The president on that occasion asked if a mother could have one, two, or even three children in her life.

"So these mothers may have one child, may I? Two children, may I? Three children, may I?" asked the President, quoted by Antara.

Participants seemed hesitant to answer when the President asked whether or not a mother could have three children. Some answered yes, and some answered no.

The President also said that a mother may have three children, but he appealed that the distance was regulated by more than three years from her previous child.

"Don't have children every year. (Arranged) more than three years. And the most important thing is to prepare his education so that he becomes a quality next-generation human resource", said the President.
