President Jokowi Returns To Poland After Completing Tour In Ukraine

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) together with First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo and a limited entourage returned to Poland after completing their visit to Ukraine.

As reported by Antara, Wednesday, June 29, the President and his entourage boarded the extraordinary train (KLB) from Kyiv Central Station at exactly 19:00 local time.

The train was scheduled to arrive at Przemysl Glowny Station, Przemysl, Poland, the following day.

Upon arrival at Przemysl Glowny Station, the President and his entourage were scheduled to head straight to the Rzeszow-Jasionka International Airport to continue their visit to Moscow, Russia.

Previously, during a series of visits to Ukraine, President Jokowi visited a number of apartment buildings in Irpin City which were damaged by the war triggered by the Russian military invasion since February 24, 2022.

In addition, the President and the First Lady also conveyed humanitarian aid from Indonesia to Ukraine which was symbolically handed over to the Ukrainian Center for Endocrine Science and Surgery, Organ Transplant and Endocrine Network in Kyiv.

President Jokowi was then greeted by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Maryinsky Palace, Kyiv, and offered himself if there was a message he wanted to convey to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"In this regard, I offer to carry a message from President Zelenskyy to President Putin, which I will visit soon," said President Jokowi during a press conference with President Zelenskyy.

Accompanying the President and First Lady on this peace mission visit were Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
