Tanjungpinang Reports 1 Case After Zero COVID-19 For A Week
TANJUNGPINANG - An active case of COVID-19 appeared in Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands Province. The addition of cases occurred after the area had zero cases since last week.
Thus, the total number of COVID-19 patients in Tanjungpinang since the first case was found in the country is 13,250 people.
While the patients who recovered reached 12,814 people. While the case of COVID-19 died as many as 435 people.
"The spread of COVID-19 in Tanjungpinang is under control, the same as in other areas in Riau Islands", said the Daily Chief of the Riau Islands COVID-19 Handling Task Force Adi Prihantara in Tanjungpinang, quoted from Antara, Thursday, June 23.
Adi said the number of active cases in Riau Islands apart from Tanjungpinang, there were also two in Batam City and one in Karimun Regency.
Meanwhile, in the Anambas Islands Regency, Natuna Regency, Lingga Regency, and Bintan Regency, there were no active cases of COVID-19.
"One patient in Batam and Karimun was declared cured, so there are only two active cases in the area and one person, respectively", he said.

He also invited the public to support the vaccination program. The achievement of the first dose of vaccination in the Riau Islands was 1,767,072 people or 98.02 percent, the second dose was 1,523,188 people or 84.49 percent and the third dose was 633,476 people or 46.05 percent.
