The Seller Of Nasi Uduk Aceh With Pork Beef Turns Out To Be Non-Muslim, But Original From The Veranda Of Mecca
JAKARTA - The Head of Pejaringan Police, Commissioner Ratna Quratul Aini, confirmed the existence of the Nasi Uduk Aceh restaurant with pork as a side dish. After her party checked the location, Commissioner Ratna did mediation. As a result, the business owner agreed to delete the name of the Aceh area.
"Yesterday, there was mediation with members giving an appeal to remove the name of Aceh. And the person concerned is willing", explained Ratna to VOI, Wednesday, June 15.
Ratna explained that the business owner uses the name of the Aceh region because some of their family members are from that city.
"She uses the name Aceh because her husband is Acehnese. She (the business owner) is a non-Muslim", said Ratna.
In addition, continued Ratna, the business owner explained from the start that the advertisements also have non-halal writings or labels, both entrances, and menu lists.
"The person concerned has given a label at the entrance and the menu list. It is a non-halal menu", she concluded.
As previously reported, residents of North Jakarta were again shocked by the establishment of a Nasi Uduk Aceh restaurant with pork.

Based on VOI's monitoring, Tuesday, June 14, the Instagram account @Rajifirdana posted a culinary menu made from pork called Nasi Uduk Aceh.
Raji's account considers that naming food from Aceh is too sensitive because Aceh is known as the city of Veranda of Mecca, which is thick with Islam.
"As an Acehnese culinary business activist, naming the name "Aceh" in a non-halal food brand is not very wise. Considering that Aceh is synonymous with Islam and halalness", she wrote.
"(beside) Aceh also has a specificity that is tied to the special autonomy law that privileges Aceh as a Sharia province", she added.
