Ahead Of Borneo Vs Madura United: Hosts Beware Of The Material Strength Of Sape Kerrab's Troops

JAKARTA - Borneo FC will play its inaugural match in the 2022 Presidential Cup against Madura United at the Segiri Samarinda Stadium, Tuesday, June 14, at 20.30 WIB. The host is superior.

However, the coach of Borneo FC, Milomir Seslija, asked his team to be vigilant and not to underestimate their opponents. He assessed that Madura United is a strong team with good enough playing material.

Milo said there was only one player who could miss, namely Fajar Fathur Rahman, due to a hamstring injury. While Terens Puhiri and Stefano Lilipaly are still defending the Indonesian national team.

"The players are ready to face the match against Madura. We hope that the players can apply tactics and strategies well, and of course, we want to achieve maximum results", said Milo, in a press conference ahead of the match, as reported by Antara.

Milo himself welcomed the 2022 President's Cup title. According to him, this pre-season tournament was a golden opportunity for players to show their best abilities.

"Indeed, this event is also an evaluation material for us to face the League 1 competition", he said.

Meanwhile, Borneo FC midfielder Diego Michiels said Samarinda fans were very thirsty for watching live matches after two years of absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Diego hopes that the fans' euphoria can fill Segiri Stadium to support the Pesut Etam team.

"We want the best results in this tournament because every game is important for us, including the opening match against Madura United we hope to achieve a victory", said Diego.
