Football fans can sleep in a tent

Football fans of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar can spend the night in a tent. The organizers of the football tournament decided in this regard on September 27 2016.

Supporters of each participating country were placed in Bedouin tents because too few hotel rooms and apartments were available. In this way, Qatar initially hoped to receive around 2 thousand guests

The hosts realized that many beds had to be made available quickly. However, as the FIFA World Cup lasts only one month, there are no plans to build many hotels and apartments.

By hosting football fans in tents, these guests can get to know the host country in a whole new way.

Tent camps were set up on the border with Saudi Arabia, where different tents were set up in various price ranges. Given the image Qatar wants to radiate, these tents would be very luxurious.
