BANGLI - A resident named Putu Edy Kurniawan (36) was arrested by the police for stealing at 19 locations in Bali. The mode is, that the perpetrator pretends to shop at a stall or shop.
"The modus operandi of the perpetrator is to act by pretending to be shopping or being a customer. Then, when the victim is careless or the situation is quiet, the perpetrator takes the victim's belongings", said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bangli Police, AKP Androyuan Elim, Monday, June 6.
This case was reported by a victim who lost her cellphone in Kawan Village, Bangli. The perpetrator was arrested by the police.
"During interrogation, the perpetrator admitted that it was true that he had taken the victim's cellphone", he added.
From the results of the examination, the perpetrators also stole in shops. The perpetrators took money and gas cylinders at 19 locations in the Bangli area, Bali.
"And seven of them have reports of complaints and their prisons. The perpetrators have also admitted to committing their actions in the jurisdictions of the Denpasar, Gianyar, and Tabanan Police", said AKP Androyuan.

The loot is used for daily needs and extravagance. The perpetrator had been arrested for the theft of Sesari money (charity money).
"Currently, the case is being handled at the Bangli Police Criminal Investigation Unit and is still in the development stage, because it is suspected that there are other crime scenes that have not been recognized by the perpetrators", said AKP Androyuan.
