Jenius From Bank BTPN Presents Split Pay And Installment Jenius Pay Features
JAKARTA - Jenius from Bank BTPN introduces its latest innovation by presenting two new features, namely Split Pay and Jenius Pay installments to help manage and keep the cash flow of its users neat.
Split Pay makes it easy for users to revise debit transactions that have been made into installments. Meanwhile, Jenius Pay installments make it easy for users to shop at various e-commerce sites using installments.
This is a manifestation of Jenius' commitment to continue to provide complete and relevant financial services to the needs of the digital savvy community in Indonesia.
According to Waasi B. Sumintardja, Digital Banking Business Product Head, Bank BTPN, there are conditions and situations when digital savvy people need to make transactions in installments so that cash flow is maintained properly. For example, when they miscalculated when buying something or there is a sudden need that has not been taken into account.
Furthermore, Waasi said that in March 2022, Jenius conducted a survey involving 116 respondents with an age range of 21–40 years regarding the behavior of digital savvy people in making installments.
From the survey, it was found that the three main reasons for making transactions with installments are 38 percent to keep managing cash flow well, 18 percent to reduce the payment burden, and 16 percent to be easy to do.
Furthermore, the two necessities that are most often purchased with installments are 47 percent of electronic goods or gadgets and 10 percent of household furniture. From the results of the same survey, 86 percent of respondents choose the installment method when making transactions on e-commerce and 14 percent at offline stores/merchants.
“Seeing the survey results, Jenius wants to be present as a complete and integrated financial service. After the various revolutionary features that Jenius already has, starting from providing convenience in transactions, saving, and investing, we have also become more complete by introducing Split Pay and Jenius Pay Installments which are connected to Flexi Cash as a choice of payment methods and sources of funds that can be chosen by customers. according to preferences and circumstances," explained Waasi, Tuesday, May 31.
Split Pay is Jenius' newest feature that helps users convert transactions into installments. With Split Pay, users will have peace of mind because transactions can be more manageable. Users also have the freedom to ease regrettable transactions by converting them into installments.
“Sometimes we make rash decisions and transact without careful calculation. Other times we regret that we spent some money to buy an item and hope to revise the transactions that have taken place so that the cash flow is messy because of wrong calculations. The Split Pay feature is here as a solution to these pain points so that users can convert existing transactions into installments and maintain cash flow," added Waasi.
There are many types of transactions that users can convert into installments with Split Pay, including: sending money to Jenius, to Bank BTPN accounts, and other banks; withdraw cash with m-Card; transactions with m-Card (offline and online); transactions with Jenius QR; transactions with Jenius Pay; top up e-wallet through e-Wallet Center; purchase of foreign currency; and bill payments (except Zakat & Others).

Users can convert transactions that have occurred into installments with a minimum value of IDR 500.000 and within the period of transactions carried out a maximum of six months back.
The next feature is Jenius Pay Installments to help users shop online in installments. Currently, Jenius Pay is available on more than 60 online shopping platforms.
Users can make payments more easily and safely using Jenius Pay, by simply entering $Cashtag at the merchant when checking out without the need to enter debit or credit card information.
Previously, users could choose two sources of funds when transacting using Jenius Pay, namely from e-Card or x-Card. Now, users can also choose Flexi Cash as a source of funds when transacting on the e-Commerce shopping platform using Jenius Pay.
Split Pay and Jenius Pay Installments are connected with Flexi Cash as a source of funds that can be used. Flexi Cash is a flexible fund that can be processed and withdrawn fully digitally through the Jenius application.
Users can have a Flexi Cash limit of up to IDR 200 million and have various flexibility such as being able to be flexibly withdrawn multiple times, being flexible in choosing the number of withdrawals, being flexible in choosing the installment tenor from 1 to 36 months, and having the convenience of paying installments automatically according to the schedule from the Active Balance.
To further complement the choice of digital savvy payment methods, next Jenius will also present the Paylater feature, which allows users to shop now and pay later, a solution to shop and manage daily spending needs more conveniently and with the financial flexibility that Jenius friends need.
