'Pamper' G20 Summit Guests In Bali, Ministry Of PUPR Builds VVIP Terminal At I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) built the VVIP terminal at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali to facilitate access for G20 Summit guests.
"Bali, which will be the center of the location for the G20 Summit with the theme Recover Together, Recover Stronger, will be made more environmentally friendly through activities to improve regional infrastructure supported by massive reforestation", said PUPR Minister, Basuki Hadimuljono, in a written statement received in Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, May 29.
Minister Basuki said that his party continued to carry out infrastructure development in Bali Province to support the preparations for the Indonesian presidency at the G20 Summit in November 2022.
One of them is the construction of the VVIP terminal at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport to facilitate access for G20 Summit guests.
The construction of the VVIP terminal at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport is carried out on the land of PT Angkasa Pura I and has been carried out starting March 14, 2022, with a target of completing by the end of August 2022.
The physical progress of the work currently reaches 21.94 percent. The construction of the VVIP terminal was carried out by contractor PT Wijaya Karya and supervision consultant PT Virama Karya with a budget of IDR 51 billion.
The scope of work consists of VVIP buildings, guard posts, groundwater tanks, pump rooms, fences and gates, landscape arrangement, drop-off areas, drop-on areas, and relocation of Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) installations.
Director of Building Arrangements of the Directorate General of Human Settlements, Boby Ali Azhari, said that the VVIP terminal at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport will be the new face of the island of Bali and the G20 Presidency.
"Because this is the first destination visited by the heads of state participating in the G20 Summit. I hope that coordination between agencies will be maintained properly for the smooth and accurate work", said Boby Ali Azhari.
In addition to the construction of the new VVIP terminal, the Ministry of PUPR through the Bali Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center of the Directorate General of Human Settlements will also revitalize the existing VIP terminal and its supporting buildings. In addition, the construction of an aircraft cargo expedition building (EMPU) will also be carried out to support the activities of the G20 Summit.
