Tempted By Big Pay Duel Exhibition Against Mayweather, Amir Khan Cancels Retirement

JAKARTA - It has been two weeks since Amir Khan confirmed he will be leaving professional boxing. However, the British star has now challenged Floyd Mayweather to a big-money exhibition fight.

Kell Brook dealt a serious blow to Khan, forcing the former Bolton-born champion to retire and admitting he had nothing left to give professional boxing.

However, it looks like Khan has seen the incredible money Mayweather is making on the exhibition circuit. For that, he wanted to enter.

"We saw today's show, I think Floyd needs a real challenge", Khan told @azizdxb after watching Mayweather's duel with Don Moore last weekend.

"We have to do it, 100 percent guys, let's make it happen", he continued.

"I called him, hit me, or hit my brother."

But, it would be a bit ironic if the boxing world was treated to an exhibition fight between retired Mayweather and retired Khan. The reason is, that over the years the two boxers have often failed to fight in the professional arena.

In fact, that's the kind of fight that boxing fans and lovers everywhere expect.

That duel should have been a big fight many years ago. But, as was the case with ever-popular exhibition boxing, they may be making more money now.
