Winky Wiryawan And Jessica Mila Overwhelmed In Acting With Animatronics Dolls
JAKARTA - In the film "The Doll 3" actors Jessica Mila and Winky Wiryawan admitted that they had difficulty acting with dolls. Jessica said, it takes extra patience when it comes to acting with animatronics dolls.
“What is certain is that it is difficult to compete acting with dolls. It's much more difficult than having to compete with humans," said Jessica Mila, quoting Antara, Sunday, May 22.
"Just like a doll, he doesn't have any emotions. So we can't exchange emotions with each other. Usually when the opponent plays can look around, continue to exchange emotions. Give each other action," she continued.
Jessica also explained that the doll was operated by a special team. So, she must work with the team to balance the emotions between herself and the doll.
“Because these are animatronics dolls, which are operated by several people, so when we are shooting scenes with the dolls, we also have to cooperate with the people who operate the dolls. And it's much more difficult," said Jessica.
Winky also conveyed the same thing. He explained that the dolls were operated by five to seven people.
Often the movements made by the doll are not in accordance with the director's direction. So all players have to repeat the scene again.

“There are five to seven people in this remote doll. So from the head division itself, there are eyes, nose, cheek wrinkles, and all kinds. There are also movements of the shoulders, hands, feet, body, all of them in one move, there are four divisions and the five people move together,” explained Winky.
"The thing that becomes quite difficult is when the doll is a little wrong, there is a scene where the eyebrows shouldn't be what Mr. Rocky wants. Meanwhile, the scene is already at its maximum. Continue to cut because the doll is smiling," he added.
When the scene continued to be repeated, Winky even felt overwhelmed. Because when the doll is in accordance with the director's direction, his emotions have actually decreased.
Therefore, Winky said that from the beginning the director Rocky Soraya had warned that making this film requires patience.
"So when our emotions have reached a certain point that is already high, the doll is sometimes wrong. Because it's not easy to play with the remote. But when the doll is correct, it's our emotions that go down. So it's really like a roller coaster," said Winky.
"From the beginning, when reading, Mr. Rocky also said yes that here we are testing patience. Never done this test (using animatronics dolls) in the Indonesian film industry. So let's try it, we'll be patient, we'll live it," he concluded.
