SEA Games 2021: Archery And Kayaking Win Gold Medals, Indonesian Contingent Now Collects 29 Golds

JAKARTA - The gold medal for the Indonesian contingent at the 2021 SEA Games continues to grow. Today, Wednesday, May 18, until 12:39 WIB, the Red and White Team has collected 29 gold medals.

The two most recent gold medals were presented in rowing and archery.

In archery, the Riau trio, Ega Agata Salsabila, Arif Dwi Pangestu, and Bagas Alvyanto Prastyadi, who competed in the men's team recurve event, presented the gold medal. This is the first gold to come from the sport of archery.

In the final which was held at the Hanoi Sports Training Competition Center, Vietnam, the representatives of Indonesia managed to beat the host with a score of 6-2. Malaysia won the bronze medal.

Meanwhile, the gold medal from kayaking was presented through the hard efforts of Sutrisno, Joko Adriyanto, Andri Agus, and Tri Wahyu. They went down in the men's K4 1000 meters.

Indonesia's kayaking sport won the gold medal after beating Myanmar and Vietnam in second and third positions.

With 29 gold medals, Indonesia is now still in the fifth position in the medal standings of the 2021 SEA Games. Meanwhile, Vietnam, which is the host of this edition of the SEA Games, has won more than 100 gold medals, making them top the standings, followed by Thailand and Philippines.
