SEA Games Badminton Team 2021: Indonesian Women's Team To Final After Beating Vietnam 3-1

JAKARTA - The Indonesian women's team stepped into the final of the women's team badminton at the 2021 SEA Games, Tuesday, May 17. Left behind 0-1, the Red and White Squad got up and finally won 3-1.

Indonesia's victory was confirmed by the pair Febby V Dwijayanti Gani / Ribka Sugiarto. They ended the match between Thi Hoai Do / Nhu Thao Pham in two straight games.

After winning 21-13 in the first game, Febby/Rebecca won with a score of 21-14 in the next game.

Previously, Putri Kusuma Wardani managed to bring the Indonesian team to a 2-1 lead. Appearing in the third match, Putri KW won after going through the rubber game.

Putri KW had to play for one hour and six minutes against Vu Thi Trang before winning with a score of 21-19, 16-21, and 21-15.

Putri's victory over the Vietnamese representatives made Indonesia turn superior. Previously, Indonesia trailed 0-1 after Gregoria Mariska Tunjung lost to Vietnam's first single with a score of 21-14, 17-21, and 16-21.

Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti managed to make the Red and White Squad equalize after beating Pham Thi Khanh/Van Anh Than in 28 minutes with a score of 21-3, 21-9.

In the final, the Indonesian women's team will face Thailand. They escaped after a 3-0 win over Singapore.
