JAKARTA - Indonesian tennis player Aldila Sutjiadi has successfully won the ITF World Tennis Tour W100 double title in Charleston, United States, on Sunday, May 1, WIB.

In this tournament, Aldila was paired with Katarzyna Kawa from Poland. In the final match, they won over the host representative Sophie Chang/Angela Kulikov with a score of 6-1 6-4.

"Thank you for the support. We played solidly today even though we almost lost in the second set," said Aldila in an official statement received.

The doubles title at Charleston is Aldila's second so far this year. He previously won the title in Bogota (Colombia) earlier this month.

This achievement also gave the owner of the 15 double champion titles an additional 2,787 US dollars, or around Rp. 40 million. In addition, he will soar to the 77th position in world doubles at the beginning of next week.

Previously, Aldila was ranked 86th in the WTA world doubles after winning in Bogota with Australian partner Astra Sharma.
