As Of Today, COVID Task Force Calls Recipients Of Booster Doses Reached 37.45 Million People
JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Task Force reported that the number of Indonesians who had received the third or booster dose reached 37.45 million as of Thursday, 12.00 WIB.
Data from the COVID-19 Task Force received in Jakarta, Thursday, April 28, as quoted from Antara, shows that the number of people who have received three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine per day has increased by 1,397,440 to 37,458,813 people.
Thus, it is recorded that the injection of a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine has been given to 17.99 percent of the total population targeted for the COVID-19 vaccination.
Meanwhile, the population who received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine increased by 318,457 to 164,657,310 people. While the recipients of the first dose increased by 78,179 people, bringing the total number to 199,191,893 people.
The government plans to vaccinate as many as 208,265,720 million people.
Thus, it is recorded that the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine was given to 95.64 percent of the total 208,265,720 residents who were targeted for COVID-19 vaccination.
Meanwhile, residents who have finished undergoing vaccination cover 79.06 percent of the total target.
Previously, the Coordinator of the Expert Team and Government Spokesperson for Handling COVID-19, Prof. Wiku Adisasmito, said that the even distribution of national vaccination coverage must continue to be improved because there are still some areas where the complete dose of vaccination coverage is still below 70 percent.
"The achievement of the national vaccination is quite good, although the even distribution of vaccine coverage still has to be improved, even the data shows that there are still some areas where the complete vaccine dose coverage has not yet reached the target of 70 percent", he said.
