Absence Budget Plenary Meeting, Visit Fire Affected Residents, Golkar Legislators Said: Don't Emphasize Image!
JAKARTA - Member of Commission E of the DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), Basri Baco, regretted the absence of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan in the plenary meeting at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building today.
It is known that the DKI Jakarta DPRD held a plenary meeting regarding the results of the DPRD's discussion of the 2021 Governor's Accountability Report (LKPJ).
However, Anies prefers to visit the location of the fire in Pasar Gembrong, East Jakarta, and meet the affected residents.
Meanwhile, the presence of the executive in the plenary meeting regarding the achievement of budget revenues and expenditures was represented by the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta. Anies was also absent from several plenary meetings regarding this budget discussion.
"I observed that several plenary sessions of the Governor were never present, always represented by the Deputy Governor. Even though the governor and deputy governor will stop at the same time, if I'm not mistaken, in October", Baco said during an interrupted plenary meeting at the DKI DPRD Building, Monday, April 25.
In fact, this Golkar legislator sees that Anies needs to be present in-person to better understand the needs of the people of Jakarta conveyed by the absorption of the aspirations of the council members to be fulfilled by the DKI Provincial Government.
"A strong message for the Governor, for the Deputy Governor, and the executive, please don't give importance to self-image interests. Think about the fate of the people of Jakarta", said Baco.
Therefore, Baco asked the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria to convey what the DPRD said in this plenary meeting to Anies.
It is known that this morning Anies visited the location of the fire at Gembrong Market, East Jakarta. He met residents who were evacuated because their homes were engulfed in flames last night.
