WIKA Gedung Wants To Be The First Contractor In IKN, Will Build Many 12-Story Towers For 17,000 Construction Workers
JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya Gedung Tbk (WEGE) has ambitions to become the first contractor to plant the first flag of construction in the new National Capital City (IKN) located in North Penajam Paser, East Kalimantan.
According to the Director of Operations 1 WEGE Bagus Tri Setyana, his party has indeed targeted to have several projects in IKN. The first project at IKN that they will build is a house for 17,000 construction workers.
Of course, said Bagus, this project has no small value. WEGE has also announced that it will use pure funding options from the APBN or the Government Cooperation with Business Entities (PPP) scheme.
"The investment is around IDR 1 trillion, construction is IDR 600 billion, not infrastructure yet. There are 8 clusters to house the 17,000 construction workers. The construction is targeted to be completed this year with a construction period of only 9 weeks", said Bagus, in Jakarta, Tuesday, April 19.
The work is relatively fast because WIKA Gedung has the advantage of using the Modular construction method. Even according to Bagus, WEGE does not yet have a competitor in the Modular business.
Meanwhile, after the construction worker's housing project is completed, WEGE will build a 12-storey flat that will be occupied by the State Civil Apparatus (ASN). WEGE will build 25 towers this year.
"This year the target is 25 towers. One tower is worth an investment of IDR 300 billion", said Bagus.
Target revenue to grow 52 percent
Meanwhile, WIKA Gedung targets revenue growth of up to 52 percent this year. Several strategies are ready to be executed.
