Francesco Bagnaia: Our Target Is Not The Fifth, There Is Still Work To Be Done
JAKARTA - Lenovo's Ducati rider, Francesco Bagnaia, said that there is still work to be done to be able to compete for victory in MotoGP. Currently, he must be content to occupy the top five positions.
This happened in the American MotoGP race, some time ago. Bagnaia admitted that he had performed optimally, but was still unable to compete with Enea Bastianini and Jack Miller.
In fact, the two riders used the Desmosedici GP motorbike with the same specifications as him.
"I gave my maximum in Austin, unfortunately I couldn't be better than the top five positions. The others were very fast and Enea was very strong. Jack was also very good, he finished on the podium with the same motor specifications," said Bagnaia, as quoted by Speedweek.
"Obviously there is still work to be done. We are getting closer, maybe too slowly. But weekends like Austin and Argentina helped us to understand a lot of things and get closer, and closer," he continued.
