In Order To Win Gold At The SEA Games, Shin Tae-yong Promises To Work Hard
JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, has set a gold medal target at the 2021 SEA Games Hanoi in May. To make it happen, the South Korean coach also promised to work hard.
Shin Tae-yong focuses on galvanizing the U-23 national team through the training center (TC) in South Korea. The coach hopes that this effort can increase the strength of his troops when appearing in real competitions.
Not only undergoing TC, in South Korea, the U-23 national team players will also face two test matches against Pohang Steelers on April 23 and Daejeon Hana Citizen on April 27.
Shin Tae-yong revealed that the tight schedule is one of the measured steps to achieve the maximum target at the 2021 SEA Games in Hanoi.
“The target, obviously, is to win (to win the gold medal). What else besides that? The players must continue to learn and develop rapidly while training in Korea", he said as quoted by Sport Chosun.

"I also try to bring out the strengths of the players. I continue to try to give hope. I will definitely do my best as one of the promises", he continued.
Shin Tae-yong's big hope is to bring home gold at the 2021 SEA Games Hanoi to quench Indonesia's thirst for maximum gains. This is because the Red and White team last won this event at the SEA Games in Manila in 1991.
For appearances in May, the U-23 national team will be in Group A of the 2021 SEA Games with Vietnam, Timor Leste, the Philippines, and Myanmar. In the opening match, Shin Tae-yong's team will immediately meet the host of Vietnam.
