Ganjar Meets North Sumatra Governor Edy In Medan: No Presidential Election Business

MEDAN - The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, met with the Governor of North Sumatra (Gubsu) Edy Rahmayadi in Medan.

Ganjar dismissed a visit to the North Sumatra region as part of his plan to run in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

"There is no business," said Ganjar Pranowo, Friday, April 8.

The main goal is to go to North Sumatra to carry out the inauguration of the Alumni Family of Gajah Mada University (Kagama) North Sumatra.

"Then to USU, because there were two invitations to USU yesterday, he couldn't attend. The third is he is a friend of mine (Edy Rahmayadi), if I come here, he doesn't report me, I'm not polite, right," he explained.

Technically, Ganjar said there would be many collaborations between Central Java and North Sumatra. One of them is the food problem.

"Speaking of food, including cooking oil, North Sumatra had a lot of cooking oil, sir, we didn't have much, we just consumed it. If the production is here, how do we solve it," he explained.

In front of Edy Rahmayadi, Ganjar also praised Medan City under the leadership of Bobby Nasution.

"(Medan City) It's good, but I haven't traveled anywhere, I've met a lot of people. The governor also told me a lot about the program," continued Ganjar.

Meanwhile, North Sumatra Governor Edy Rahmayadi did not say much. However, he confirmed all of Ganjar's words to reporters

"What he said, that's what we did," said Edy.
