Jakarta MRT Allows Iftar In Train, But Only Mineral Water And Dates
JAKARTA - PT MRT Jakarta invites passengers to break their fast on the train in the month of Ramadan this year. However, the only menu for breaking the fast that is allowed to be consumed on the train is water and dates.
"The regulation on break fasting at MRT Jakarta facilities, which allow mineral water and dates," wrote a statement on the mrtjkt Instagram account, Monday, April 4.
More specifically, MRT Jakarta prohibits users to break their fast on the train by consuming tea, coffee, syrup, or other drinks other than mineral water.
Then, other foods that are prohibited are snacks and the like, rice and side dishes, to ready-to-eat foods and the like.
Another thing to note is that passengers are only allowed to drink mineral water and eat dates only when it is time to break the fast, with a maximum duration of 10 minutes from the Maghrib call to prayer.

"Masks can be temporarily removed when breaking the fast and reused after eating and drinking," the statement said.
Furthermore, MRT Jakarta reminded users not to speak when removing masks, continue to apply health protocols, and not to throw garbage until they find the nearest trash can.
