Preparations For The 2021 SEA Games Hanoi: Vidya Rafika Aims For The Gold Medal, Weightlifting Is Blind To The Map Of Strength
JAKARTA - The 2021 SEA Games Hanoi is in sight. A number of sports that are definitely dispatched are increasingly focused on preparation.
One of the athletes who will be sent to Hanoi is a female shooting athlete, Vidya Rafika. At this event, Vidya has the ambition to defend the gold medal she won at the 2019 SEA Games.
At that time, Vidya managed to steal two gold medals from the women's 10-meter air rifle and 10 meters mixed rifle number.
"I will fight to be able to defend my gold medal. The 2020 Tokyo Olympics gave me a very big change, especially when competing," said Vidya, as reported by Antara.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian weightlifting team admitted that they were blind to the strength of their opponents at the 2021 SEA Games, especially the host Vietnam. This is due to the lack of Vietnam participating in the competition ahead of the grand event between ASEAN countries.
Apart from Vietnam, the Indonesian weightlifting team is also blind to the strength of Thailand. These two countries are considered to be tough opponents.
"Vietnam from the strength map has not sent athletes in the past year. So we are blind, especially since they are the hosts, the training is definitely better," said the coach of the Indonesian weightlifting team, Dirja Wihardja.
"So Thailand and Vietnam will be our toughest opponents," he added.
The 2021 SEA Games Hanoi will be held from May 12-23. The Indonesian contingent will send 467 athletes with 60 percent of them being young athletes.
