The Government Raised IDR 366 Billion In Funds Last Year From The Utilization Of State Assets By The Community
JAKARTA - The steady increase in State Budget (APBN) revenues over the past year cannot be separated from the Ministry of Finance's (Kemenkeu) accurate strategy in utilizing all available resources.
Most recently, the ministry led by Sri Mulyani reported that it managed to collect IDR 366 billion of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) from optimizing government assets that could be utilized by the community.
Director of State Asset Management and Information Systems of Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) of Ministry of Finance Purnama T. Sianturi said the value was obtained from a number of state facilities rented out to the public, such as meeting halls for wedding receptions, areas where ATMs, hotels and guesthouses in various regions, toll roads, and golf courses are located.
"This utilization contributes to the receipts that go into the state treasury," she said when meeting the media crew through digital channels on Friday, March 18.
However, Purnama admits that the amount obtained last year tends to decrease from previous years. From the data she shared, it is known that the value of asset utilization in 2018 was successful in gathering revenue of IDR 1.57 trillion. Then in 2019 and 2020 it was IDR 522 billion and IDR 423 billion, respectively.

"This decline occurred because we all know that in the last few years the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in disruption of business and economic activity," she said.
For information, the total income obtained by the state from PNBP last year reached IDR 452 trillion. The book exceeds the target of 151.6 percent of the estimated APBN which is set at IDR 298.2 trillion.
The high coffers originating from non-tax revenues cannot be separated from the surge in the prices of Indonesia's leading commodities, which also boosted the state revenue sector.
