Not Too Satisfied With The Final Result, Allegri Says Juventus' Victory Over Spezia Remains Important

JAKARTA - Juventus won 1-0 over Spezia in the match week 28 of the Italian League 2021/2022. Although not many goals were scored, coach Massimiliano Allegri called this victory important.

In the match at the Allianz Stadium on Monday, 7 March, the Bianconeri as hosts won through a single goal scored by Alvaro Morata in the 21st minute.

Allegri was actually not too satisfied with the final score, but for him, this victory was important enough to help the team achieve their goals in the Italian League.

“If you want to achieve your goals, you have to play this game and win while suffering. Even though it's not satisfying, this victory is important", Allegri said after the match was quoted by Football Italia.

The coach also said this result is a good start. But his team should have scored more than two goals in the first half.

However, some of the players were tired and the team couldn't rotate much because several players were also absent. Regarding that performance, fans complained that in this match the Old Lady did not have the courage to play further forward.

This is because the players often pass sideways and backward rather than forwards. However, Allegri has his reasons for this.

“Spezia pushed forward better in the second half, we allowed them to make a few attempts, and Szczesny made some good saves, but we also had some favorable situations. Naturally, we're a little tired at the moment", he said.

Three points over Spezia make Juventus sit in fourth place with 53 points or seven points adrift of leaders AC Milan. After this, said Allegri, his team needed to prepare for Sampdoria and Villarreal in the best possible way.

Allegri also hopes that Paulo Dybala can appear in those two matches. Currently, the Argentina international is still sidelined due to a minor injury during training.
