The Man Who Was Thought To Be Missing After Climbing A Coconut Tree, Turns Out Fell Into A River And Found Dead
JAKARTA - A young man with the initials ASN (23) who had disappeared and drowned in the river in front of Harapan Bunda Hospital, Bogor street, Pasar Rebo District, East Jakarta was finally found by officers from the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. The victim was found dead floating in the Kali stream.
Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Head Gatot Sulaeman said the victim was known to work as a factory worker.
According to witness statements, before the incident, the victim with the initials ASN climbed a coconut tree at around 12.30 western Indonesia time.
"The witness said that suddenly the victim's voice was gone," he said when confirmed, Friday, March 4.
Then another friend of the victim searched the victim's house and rent but could not find it.
"But the victim's motorbike is still at the scene. Meanwhile, the victim's cellphone cannot be contacted until now," he said.

After being found, the victim, a resident of Cipayung District, was immediately evacuated by officers.
"The victim was found by 5 firefighters during the search process on Thursday, February 3, yesterday," he said.
Previously, East Jakarta Gulkarmat officers had been searching for victims who had fallen into the river since Wednesday, March 2.
"The search was temporarily suspended. After searching the river, the victim has not been found," he said, Wednesday, March 2.
