Involved In Brawl And Sharp Weapons, 11 Students In Bekasi Arrested
JAKARTA - Bekasi Metro Police managed to secure 11 brawlers that had gone viral on social media. The perpetrators who are still minors were arrested along with sharp weapons such as machetes, sickles, and machetes.
Bekasi Metro Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Pol Gidion Arif Setyawan said, based on the video circulating on social media, his party was able to identify the perpetrators.
"We identified several perpetrators, which we later developed," said Grand Commissioner Gidion to reporters, Wednesday, February 23.
The police chief explained that the incident stemmed from mutual challenges between different schools. The challenge was motivated by the fact that one of the school's students was involved in a fight until a brawl broke out.

"Starting from challenging each other, then they made an agreement through messages sent through WhatsApp groups," he said.
Grand Commissioner Gidion ensured that the brawl incident was not content. However, some of the perpetrators deliberately recorded.
"We will investigate as much as possible," he said.
As a result of their actions, the perpetrators were threatened with the Emergency Law regarding the possession of sharp weapons.
