Megaria Supermarket In Sangihe, North Sulawesi Already Selling Cooking Oils At IDR 14,000 Per Liter
JAKARTA - Head of Trade Division of the Industry and Trade Office of Sangihe Islands Regency, North Sulawesi, Vera Masora, revealed that one supermarket in Sangihe has sold cooking oil for one price.
"Today, there is already one price of cooking oil sold at the Megaria Tahuna supermarket", said Vera Masora in Tahuna, quoted from Antara on Thursday, January 27.
According to her, Megaria supermarket sells cooking oil for IDR 14,000 per liter because it already has new stock based on the government's decision.
The cooking oil that is sold for one price is the Filma, Kunci Mas, Fortune, Sania, and Sovia brands for one liter in a package of IDR 14 thousand", she explained.
Meanwhile, supermarkets and other shops are still depleting their old stock.
"The Sangihe Regency Government has written to the Ministry of Trade to ask for a one-month dispensation for the comprehensive implementation of one-price cooking oil", she said.
Chairman of the Indonesian Retail Entrepreneurs Association (Aprindo) Sangihe Islands Regency, Ambo Upe Rifin, said the sale of cooking oil was a government program facilitated by Aprindo which was valid for the next 6 months.

"Cooking oil at affordable prices is to answer the needs of the community as well as suppress the increase in market prices that occurred in the last few months", he said.
In the first stage, he said, Megaria supermarket will only sell at a price according to the government's decision, which is IDR 14 thousand per liter in packaging.
"The sale of cheap cooking oil for one price will be limited, namely that each consumer only gets two packs for a one-liter package. Meanwhile, above one liter, consumers only get one pack", he said.
