Bali Governor Reminds G20 Summit Infrastructure Development Not To Be Playful, Without Corruption
DENPASAR - Bali Governor, Wayan Koster, chaired a coordination meeting to deliver the progress of preparations for accelerating the implementation of infrastructure development in the context of holding Indonesia's presidency at the G20 Summit in Bali.
This meeting was held to follow up on the letter of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Number: HK.01.01-Min/89, dated January 17, 2022.
"Regarding the acceleration of the implementation and supervision of infrastructure development to support the implementation of the Indonesian Presidency at the G20 Summit in Bali Province", said Koster in a written statement, Wednesday, January 26.
In his direction, Koster emphasized that the acceleration of the implementation and supervision of infrastructure development must be carried out.
First, the preservation of roads and bridges Sp. Pesanggaran-Nusa Dua, and Jimbaran-Uluwatu. Second, the landscape arrangement of the Ngurah Rai Roundabout, pedestrians, and the median section of Ngurah Rai Street Airport-Venue.
Third, the improvement of the Sp. Siligita Street- Kempinski, Mangrove Showcase, and the fourth arrangement of the Mangrove Tahura area.
Then, the fifth is the rehabilitation of the Muara Nusa Dua Reservoir in Denpasar City and the sixth is the construction of the Sanur Embung in Denpasar City and finally I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.
"Maintain the preparations from day to day, week by week. Once a week we have a meeting and directly monitor the results of their work. Because the G20 involves trust and brings the good name of the Indonesian nation in the eyes of the world, as well as the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo as the leader of the G20. So we have to show a good performance", he added.

Koster also emphasized that the projects being carried out are currently being monitored by many parties.
"No one should play games, such as bribes, playing fees. If you get bribes, gratification, it will be a legal problem later", he said.
Koster reminded all stakeholders in charge of preparing for the acceleration of development implementation
infrastructure in the context of holding the Indonesian Presidency at the G20 Summit must report its progress.
"Keep the spirit, make G20 a success, and discipline the Health Protocol so that we can suppress COVID-19 cases in Bali", he said.
